A little clarity goes a long way.
Answers to the questions that come up while finding a community and building your reputation.
Finding your people
What does VouchRealm do?
VouchRealm helps you discover Discord communities through their listings and published member experiences. Browse by name or interest, read the details, and follow a server’s invite when you’re ready.
Does an ownership badge mean a server is safe?
No. It means the server’s ownership was verified through Discord. It does not certify safety, quality, or the accuracy of every claim.
Are member counts live?
Member and online counts are approximate figures supplied by Discord and refreshed periodically. If they cannot be retrieved, we omit them rather than invent a count.
Are homepage communities paid placements?
No. The current homepage section shows recently listed, approved communities. Advertising purchases are not available yet. Future sponsored placements will be labeled.
Reviews and membership
Who can leave a review?
You must sign in with Discord and verify current membership, or have previous membership already recorded by VouchRealm. You cannot review a server you own.
Can I review a server after leaving it?
Yes, if VouchRealm recorded your membership before you left. We cannot recover membership history from before your first successful check. Use “Verify & record my membership” while you are a member if you plan to review later.
Why is my review awaiting approval?
Reviews are moderated before publication. Pending reviews do not affect the score. Check My activity in your account for their status and any moderator explanation.
Can I change my review?
Yes. Open the community page while signed in and edit your existing review. It returns to moderation. You have one review per server. A removed review must go through the available appeal process instead.
How are ratings calculated?
The displayed ratings average the corresponding scores on published reviews. Helpful votes do not change ratings. Unpublished reviews and advertising do not contribute to them.
Can an owner remove a review they dislike?
Owners can respond to reviews and raise disputes, but cannot directly delete another member’s review. Moderators review concerns against the community guidelines.
Your account and community
Why do I need Discord sign-in?
It connects your identity and allows ownership and review eligibility checks. VouchRealm requests identity, email, server list, and membership access for these features. No Discord bot installation is required.
Where do I change my name or privacy settings?
Use the avatar menu. Profile edits your display name and bio; Settings controls public Discord username visibility and lets you reconnect Discord. Your email is not shown publicly.
Who can claim a server?
The actual Discord server owner. Administrator permissions alone are not sufficient. Open My communities and load your Discord servers to start.
Why does VouchRealm ask me to reconnect Discord?
Discord access used for ownership or membership checks can expire or lack the required scope. Reconnect through Settings and allow the requested access. Use the same Discord account.
How do I report content or appeal a decision?
Use the report controls on a community, review, or owner response. Eligible appeals appear in My activity. Owners can also dispute a published review from their server page.
Can I send a general support request?
Yes. Sign in with Discord and open Support requests to submit a private request, receive a confirmation number, and track replies. Suspended accounts can still appeal account warnings or suspensions. If you cannot sign in, ask the official Discord team for help.
